friday fill-ins

and ....here we go.....

1. staying active is the key to feeling better- gotta move (at least a little...).
2. art well, that would be nice!
3. the very thought of a spider sends me running (with hands waving and that strange skip/ hop- you know what i am talking about....).
4. a sunset is so beautiful.
5. i grew up in the 70's and northeast south dakota- no, you don't have to feel bad- it was all good!
6. "my favorite hotdish" was my most memorable meal as a kid- it is macaroni, velveeta cheese, cream of mushroom soup and spam (my mom thought for sure this is all i would feed my husband when we got married).
7. and as for the weekend, tonight i'm looking forward to a movie (i gotta go see despicable me 2), tomorrow my plans include painting with my mom, and sunday, i want to get ready for this next week!

1. One of my favorite birthday presents was my brother.... born on my birthday 6 years later.

2.  today's image above is because i love collage and paint....it was as simple as that.

 3. The moon has been a sliver- looking like a fingernail.

4. sometimes being creative includes not being afraid.

5. i was tempted by the many stencils...may have to get a few new ones....

6.  site-seeing and walking are some of the things i like to do on vacation.

7.  And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing the great gatsby, tomorrow my plans include working on our basement (hoping to move my studio to a larger space) and Sunday, I want to play in my studio.

And...here we go!
1. Right now I'm super excited to be on the design team for Paperbag Studio with the mixed media essential rubber stamps- i used some of the stamps in the pic above.
2. being a little different with what i wear is my well known quirk. (i often hear, that my outfit is interesting, or only you could pull that off....)
3. Are you an artist, blogger, or a doodler? are you on instragram, or have a blog or flickr account? let me know so i can visit!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to some studio time, tomorrow my plans include hopefully a cancelled track meet (MN ice/ snow storm in april?!) and Sunday, I want to watch the last volleyball tournament this spring season!

1. I used mixed media essentials from Paperbagstudios. (they are rubber stamps and if you are a mixed media artist- you are gonna want these! they are available soon)
2. sixteen candles is one of my favorite movies.
3. It's track time!

5. I said "oooh, my art order came today", and then he said "a second order this week honey?"
6. hot coffee with a little splenda is what I'm craving right now!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to some time in my studio, tomorrow my plans include going to a track meet and Sunday, I want to will be going to a volleyball tournament (although i really do enjoy watching)!

1. the wind blew wildly and even though the calendar says it is spring, it still feels like winter.
2. spending today with my mom creating art and having my husband take me out for lunch today for my birthday made me feel warm and happy all over.
3. the smell of  car rear-end grease makes me think of old cars (love them!).
4. when i am feeling lazy i sog on the coach.
5. brilliant purple is my favorite color- it is so hard to choose though; i love color!
6. the door creaked and a ghost came in. (do you believe in ghosts?...)
7. as for the weekend, tonight i'm looking forward to going to a movie, tomorrow my plans include going to an indoor track meet, and sunday, i want to will be at a volleyball tournament.

1. i was looking for my studio to be dry by this weekend- want to create again!
2. visiting with family or friends over coffee is one of my favorite ways to socialize; although i love my blog and twitter. :)
3. i looked at the clock and couldn't believe i was still up....again! darn this daylight savings...
4. at work- black, is the type of pen i most prefer to use; and at home in my journal, a colorful pen will do.
5. what in the heck-fire is going on?
6. volunteering seems to happen to me often.
7. and as for the weekend, tonight i'm looking forward to putting my studio space back together, tomorrow my plans include hanging out at home and sunday, i want to go spend the day watching volleyball.

3. where is the music? cuz i wanna dance and work in my studio.

1. in new england the snowstorm of historic proportions will be hitting this weekend.
2. as long as it is "winter," i would not mind LOTS of snow- in fact, i am hoping for some this weekend.

4. going to high school basketball games is my favorite thing to do nowadays.
5. last night, i had a dream about the education for work i am putting together (i seriously need to get a life....).

1. sniff, sniff....what is up this year with the influenza bug? hopefully you have been healthy!
2. any type of sports fan,but, my favorite is....oh, i can't even pick.

4. our busy house rarely has peace and quiet.
5. one of my dreams is to visit the state of texas. i have been inspired to go there by this blog.

1. i saw amazing art being hung for the artists against hunger- opens tonight!

3. once, my brother and i opened our gifts under the tree before christmas; and taped them back up. sorry mom!

5. the road led to gramma's for the holidays....apple pie, family, and christmas albums playing non-stop.
