card {thank you}

received a few bags full of upholstery samples from a friend and needed to make a thank you card for her. i opened the first bag and right on top was a lovely tan fabric which was perfect.

gesso'd my card and used a hi-flow acrylic to create my background and then, stitched on a cut of the upholstery fabric and some scraps to create this.....

hope that she enjoys this card as much as i enjoyed making it.....a huge thank you!! happy monday!

stacking up the thank yous

i had have a few thank yous that were due and carved out a little time to create some cards to send.

the cards are a pleasant combination of stencils and spray ink with a dab of acrylic paint, some paper scraps on my counter....then, stitched up with some love.

check out my foam crown stamp i made- love it! and really like using it for my signature especially on cards.

 thank you for stopping by! happy tuesday!

mailart- thank you

a short time ago i did a give away and sent postcards and envelopes to blog friends that left me a message. when i sent their postcards, i included an extra postcard and envelope so they could mail-it-forward and send one on to a friend.

i received a postcard thank you back and was so excited- thank you Connie! i loved her stamp that she used on the postcard. i am a recovering stampaholic and am not sure that i have seen this stamp before. i love getting mailart!

thank you's.....

final step in this graduation process....the thank you! i made thank you postcards.

with matching envelopes!

i was using blank notecards that i trimmed to fit my envelopes. i sprayed them outside on the driveway. i actually lined up 6 cards underneath the stencil at a time.

this was the stencil i used, (which i love!).

these are the spray paint colors i used- ivy leaf and primer grey. i did a light spray with the ivy green just enough to get some color onto the cards and a little heavier with the grey to fill in more and give definition to the stencil. this gave the cards a variegated look that i liked. the final step was to stamp the "thank you" onto the front.
