my mom and i played on saturday during the artist's against hunger show, making artist trading cards. we played with watercolors, inks and some acrylics and stencils. here are a couple of my favorite.
this is from the artists against hunger.....this is one of the walls outside of my mom's studio- a mix of some of my things and some of my mom's. we paint really well together; i think because we have similar color pallets and styles. you may recognize a few of my pieces as i think i have posted all of these painting (or portions of the paintings) on this blog at one point or another. happy monday!
i no longer need just a hint, please! i'm a big girl now. :)
once, my brother and i opened our gifts under the tree before christmas; and taped them back up. sorry mom!
i love the vintage postcards sent at christmas in times past.
the road led to gramma's for the holidays....apple pie, family, and christmas albums playing non-stop.
everything looks better in the morning light.
and as for this weekend, tonight i'm looking forward to visiting with the public about my art, tomorrow my plans include shopping and lunch out and sunday, i want to do more christmas decorating.
i saw the other "letters" to St Nick and really wanted to make my own letter. there were no rules for creation- anything would go. i actually started on watercolor paper; added some layers of masking tape and paper; some gesso over all of that- then some stickers, stencils, ink....hope that when december 25 brings St Nick, he likes my letter and brings some change......
