sometimes you need to be willing to take work apart to get to something better. 

had worked on this coffee filter; even hand sewing on this vintage picture- only to rip apart.

i have a few things in the works and this theme is resonating throughout.

taking the good things, and leaving the rest behind to get to something better.

i have still been thinking about the class i taught recently and how truthful this statement really is. 

all those people had huge courage to try new things. new concepts. new colors. new techniques.

courage to collage. to paint over. to write on.

today i encourage you to try something new. glue something down that you wouldn't have used. spray some ink on that.... and if you can, sew on something- even some little hand sewing.

find your courage. show up in your space. just create.

it is a bit dull; and yet can and will be sharpened.
